Hospital Telehealth Grant Program

Alabama Legislative Act 2022-1 appropriated up to $5 million dollars of Alabama’s American Rescue Plan Act Fiscal Recovery Fund allocation to facilitate the expansion and use of telemedicine. 

The Alabama Department of Finance will provide grants to licensed acute care hospitals to create and/or expand their telehealth programs. Grant awards will be from $50,000 to $200,000 and can be used for cover telehealth services, program fees, Information Technology support, and technology equipment needs. 

Please attach, via the link below, your request for ARPA FRF telemedicine funds. Your request must contain the following information:

· Hospital name and contact information.

· Brief narrative describing current telehealth programs, if any, and specific telehealth programming needs.

· Request of telehealth programming needs and costs. Eligible needs include telehealth services, program fees, Information Technology support, and technology equipment. Any requests for equipment funding must also provide confirmation that equipment being procured is compatible with current or planned telehealth service providers. 

· Brief narrative as to how the requested funding is expected to benefit the State of Alabama such as increased access to specialized care within local communities, addressing time-sensitive and/or acute and intensive treatment needs, and supporting the local community’s healthcare goals.

COVID Relief Grants for After School and Student Enrichment Programs

The State of Alabama will offer grants in an amount up to $30,000 for After School and Student Enrichment Programs that meet eligibility requirements. Total approved disbursements will be awarded to eligible applicants. The Alabama After-School and Student Enrichment Programs Grants are to support organizations that provide afterschool and educations enrichment programs with their Covid-related expenses in addressing learning loss and social engagement gaps caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The application process for this grant program is being administered by the Alabama Department of Finance. 

The application period for the Alabama After School and Student Enrichment Programs Grants will be open from noon 9/8/2023  through noon 9/22/2023.

Information required for application: 

  • Contact information for the program, including the Employer Tax Identification Number.
  • An up-to-date W-9 and banking information.
  • Executed certification by the organization acknowledging source and eligible uses of funds. This certification is included within the application.

MC-13 Monthly Report to State Treasurer

During the 2022 legislative session, Act 2022-425 was enacted into law providing that beginning January 1, 2023, the MC-13 Monthly Report to State Treasurer By Municipality be transmitted electronically to the Comptroller’s Office within 60 days of the due date. Failure to submit the data required in this act within this timeframe shall result in the forfeiting of any fees and costs collected by the court that would otherwise remain with the municipality. In Accordance with the Code of Alabama 1975, Section 12-1-19, an original physical shall continue to be provided with remittance to the Comptroller’s Office. Copies must also be provided to both the Municipal Court Clerk and the Municipal City/Town Clerk as well.
